I had reservations for 4:30 PM on Sunday. I was surprised when I arrived at four that the place was so packed. There were three servers hovering at the hostess position and worked quickly to get us a table for two so we weren't waiting. I was disappointed in the menu. It has been at least 2 decades since eating at this restaurant for me, and it has changed so much since then. The menu has a lot of variety and upscale, specialty dishes, but not enough traditional favorites. We decided to have appetizers and ordered the calamari and bruschetta. The calamari was cut into thin strips, breaded and perfectly fried. It was very good. The bruschetta was served on perfectly toasted thick Cristini's. The balance of suite and vinegar was perfect, but the tomatoes Were way too large to manage. Cherry tomatoes, cut in half rolled off the plate and onto the floor while trying to eat them. I had this for the first time at this restaurant decades ago, where the tomatoes were finally diced and perfectly served. I was in the mood for Hardy meal of spaghetti and meat sauce with meatballs, but no such thing on the menu. I ordered the chicken Parmesan, which had spaghetti as the side. The chicken Parm was thin and tough but very flavorful. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, but the sauce lacked depth and hardiness. My daughter had the tagliatelle with shrimp and it was fabulous. The pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was very peppery and cheesy. Although, the portion was small. With the appetizers, the bread and half of the main courses we were full and could not fit in dessert. The meal was $100 before tip. Our server (Cadence), was fantastic, awesome, wonderful, and extremely accommodating. She is very good at her job, which was to make us happy, no matter what. Our experience was saved by the server. If you want fancy Italian, this is the place for you. If you want traditional spaghetti and meat sauce, or ravioli and lasagna, there are better offerings in Stockton, in my opinion. Will I be back soon? I don't know.

Relaxing and comfortable atmosphere... Also, the waitress was really attentive.. 1 thing I love? The Eggplant Parm is delicious. 1 thing I hate? Every time I leave this restaurant I'm so full I can barely move around for the rest of the day Oh and the Affogato is to diefo

Made reservations for Saturday @4pm. Got there right on time but it was crowded. Got seated about 10 mins later. Our waiter, Dante, greeted us fairly quickly and was very pleasant. We been here a few times but I never noticed how loud the music played! Between that and the crowd you couldn't really hold a conversation. He never did explain the specials and we ended up ordering off the menu. I had the steak sandwich and my wife had the chicken parm. The sandwich was phenomenal! The steak was so tender, the best I've ever had. I had fries as a side they were fresh cut and yummy. My wife said her chicken was good but the spaghetti side was rather bland. She gave me a taste and yes, it was rather blah.

Wow!! Pietro's was a spontaneous stop for lunch and it blew my mind!! The ricotta with fresh figs, balsamic, and pistachios with a delicious olive oil seasoned flat bread was out of this world. The arancini was crispy and delicious. Both of us were happy with our pasta dishes. I loved the touch of walnuts on the chefs special stuffed pasta. Our server, Miranda, was so sweet and amazing as well. We will definitely be returning to Pietro"s. We sat in a booth next to the kitchen and it was so fun to see all of the items come out and the staff adding the finishing touches. I commend the staff at Pietro's for creating such a fun, delicious, experience.

IGNORANCE IS BLISS Day 1 Stop 2 Preface- My travel buddy and I flew in to Sacramento and left SMF to pick up our other travel companion in the city of Elk Grove. We are working our way to the city of Lodi for our weekend escape. Searching for a place to have lunch, we stumble upon Pietro's and what a great stumble it was. They looked busy (and why not? it's high noon) We found 3 seats on the bar (a place we like to sit at) and had a great lunch. We decided to each select a dish and we will eat family style giving us the chance to try more than one dish. The bread!!!!! If you have anything at all from Pietro's DO NOT FORGET THE BREAD! We also tried the meaballs (4 stars) and the Parpadelle with braised oxtail (5 stars) was also on our menu sampler. A definite repeat if I am in the area!

Came in for lunch and there was a good lunch crowd. We started off with Fennel & Citrus Insalte. It was fresh and the citrus was sweet but could have been more Fennel added. We had Rosie's Polo Fritto Panini and Calamari Steak . Both were excellent. Potatoes that come with the Calamari were cooked well and delicious. There is a nice display case with Prosciutto and cheese on display. Pietro's has a nice vegetable garden in front with tomatoes and fresh herbs!

Anytime we're in town we make sure to stop by this absolutely delicious gem restaurant in Lodi. The place is very nice and upscale looking. The outside is surrounded with vegetable gardens. There is plenty of parking. The service is excellent, always attentive and checking with us to make sure things are good. I'm my opinion they're calamari fritti is absolutely the best fried calamari I've had thus far. And I've tried many many different versions. The calamari is pounded for perfect tenderness. Then breaded. Imagine a fish stick that is super fancy and delicious and expensive.
